The first batch of 16 ## energy R & D centers were established

The first batch of 16 ## energy R & D (experimental) centers in China were officially established. On January 6, ## Energy Bureau officially awarded licenses to 16 centers including offshore wind power technology and equipment R & D center, which marked that China's energy high-tech R & D entered a new stage.

The 16 R & D centers involve key energy industries and fields such as nuclear power, wind power, ## power generation and transmission, equipment and materials, which are of great significance to China's energy development.

16 energy R & D (experimental) centers are of far-reaching significance for establishing China's energy science and technology support system, meeting the strategic needs of innovation ## and optimization and upgrading of energy structure, as well as the market demand for energy technology and equipment.

China is not only a large energy producer, but also a large energy consumer and carbon dioxide emitter. At present, China is facing the pressure to deal with climate change and achieve the emission reduction target in 2020## It has always attached great importance to the work of energy science and technology, ## Energy Bureau has specially established the Department of energy conservation and scientific and technological equipment management, which is responsible for energy conservation and scientific and technological management in the energy industry.

##Since its establishment, the energy administration has attached great importance to energy science and technology. With the strong support of the ## development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of finance, it has used funds from the central budget to support the research and experimental capacity-building of some energy enterprises, scientific research institutes and universities, and established these 16 ## energy R & D (experimental) centers on this basis.

The first batch of 16 ## energy R & D (experimental) centers are: R & D Center for major equipment materials, R & D Center for nuclear grade zirconium materials, R & D Center for nuclear grade equipment of nuclear power plant, R & D Center for digital I & C system of nuclear power plant, R & D (experimental) Center for wind power blades, R & D (experimental) Center for large-scale wind power grid connected system, R & D Center for offshore wind power technology and equipment Large clean ## power generation equipment R & D center, power station air cooling system R & D center, large turbine blade R & D center, complete set design R & D (Experiment) center of UHVDC transmission project, large power grid technology R & D (Experiment) center, transmission and distribution equipment R & D (experiment) center, fast reactor project R & D (Experiment) center, smart grid (Shanghai) R & D center Marine engineering equipment R & D center. Among them, China first heavy, ## nuclear power, CGN, Sinovel wind power, Dongfang Electric Group and other companies are responsible for the establishment of relevant centers.
